Jim Shockey’s Canadian Whitetail Adventures

This film is dedicated to hunting the whitetail giants of Saskatchewan.    This is the same providence in which the current world record was killed.  The majority of the hunts are by Jim, his guides, family or friends.

There are 9 hunts in all with all of the kill scenes on film.  Seven are muzzleloader hunts per Jim’s trademark and two rifle hunts.

Jim spends a little time discussing how to judge Canadian whitetails as well as good advice on stand hunting.  Jim’s cameraman Cody, as well as a friend, both kill wide heavy bucks that would give any hunter the shakes.  These bucks have width and mass that are impressive.

If you’ve dreamed of monster whitetails or heading to Canada to chase these bruisers this film will get your blood pumping.  The footage is excellent and includes two world class bucks, a 170+ buck and a 180+ buck caught together on film numerous times.

Jim eventually kills the larger of the two after spending 20 days in the stand.  Although some of Jim’s earlier films were lacking in the quality of footage, I think they have done a great job with this one.  Big whitetails and well worth the money.
