Tim Wells Travels to Texas
Tim Wells and his cameraman and hunting partner Jim Crane recently headed to South Texas for a little varmit hunting. The first set they killed three fox. They ended up shooting 10 coons, 5 fox and 5 bobcats altogether.
Although the weather conditions were far from favorable, Tim used his trusty Jason Lamar game calls and the Road Runner decoy, and they had a great hunt. Tune into Relentless Pursuit television show coming to the Men's Channel in July for the South Texas Varmint hunt.
Tim also got in a little high excitement Texas pig hunting. He ended up spearing a giant boar in a heart pounding foot chase. For those of you that think this is a little over the top, check out our hog hunting video by Mark Buchanan. Not quite the same fear factor, but a great time all the same. Great job Tim - keep the excitement coming.

Mark Buchanan's Trip to British Columbia
Mark Buchanan headed to British Columbia last fall for a great trip with Stone Mountain Safaris. I thought this hunt was worth reliving.
The hunt started off with a raging fire as Mark's buddy Greg had his tent ignited during the first night. All the gear was salvaged, but it meant no easy living for Greg until another tent could be flown in. It was off to spike camp in the rain.
The following day Mark and his guide headed out in search of a grizzly the wrangler had seen the day before will taking Greg and his guide to their spike camp. The search was successful and they found the bear in the same area the wrangler had seen it the previous day. After a deadly shot, the first hunting day was a success with a average sized bear, but a great grizzly hide.
The next day it was time to get serious, and they headed out of camp in search of sheep. About half way up the mountain Mark's guide spotted a mountain goat that looked promising and the sheep were put on the back burner once again. After a four hour hike back down the mountain and up another, Mark shot the goat at 18 yards. He was a great goat with 9 3/4" horns, and by the time they made it back to the horses it was dark. It was a scary ride back to the camp, but more celebration followed.
The following day, as the hunters struggled to get out of bed, the wrangler came riding into camp with news that a mountain caribou was headed their way. Although not a monster, Mark decided to take him and after a few shots, had a nice caribou on the ground before breakfast. Three days and three animals - not a bad start.
It was now time to get serious about sheep hunting. After all, the hunt was booked for a Stone sheep ram. To make a long hunt short, nine days later, they finally found some rams. British Columbia is some of the most beautiful country in the world, but is not for the weak. Raging rivers, giant mountains, and ever changing weather make the hunt an exciting one. After letting a large ram go without a good shot, Mark shot a beautiful Stone ram after several shots with his .338. It turned out the scope had moved and the rifle was shooting low, but Mark didn't know it at the time.
The following morning, when Mark's guide figured he'd taken enough abuse, Mark spotted a beautiful black bear on the opposite ridge. He finally killed the bear after several shots through his front leg, confirming the rifle was shooting low.
Now that's the definition of a mixed bag. Fortunately, for the moose in the area, they stayed away from the trail. Look forward to seeing the footage when you get it put on a hunting video Mark. Don't miss Mark's videos in our rifle hunting section produced by Big Bore Productions.
Video Review
Relentless Pursuit 2 by World Hunting Group
This is Tim Wells second deer hunting video, Relentless Pursuit 2. The video begins with a nice whitetail missed by Tim in the snow. All of the hunting in this video is done with a bow and they arrow some amazing deer. The first deer kill is a great whitetail shot from a tree stand in the rain. Tim follows it up with a spine shot on a Coues whitetail over a waterhole that drops the deer on the spot. A friend, Roger then takes a giant Coues deer with a bow in New Mexico. This deer is amazing for a Coues deer and with a bow makes it all the more impressive.
Another whitetail hunt follows, but of the northern variety. There is some great footage of a monster buck taunting the hunter, just after he takes a good buck. The hunting then moves to Canada for mule deer. A huge muley buck is killed after rousting him from his bed. Tim’s wife then misses a nice whitetail and Tim shows a little humor with a spear shot.
Tim then decides to chase whitetail on the ground, spotting and stalking, and takes a massive, tall eight point with the camera over his shoulder. Tim’s son then kills a nice whitetail on his first very emotional buck hunt. Jim Crane, Tim’s partner then kills a monster whitetail, once again with a bow. Many of the bucks are taken with arrows with glowing nocks, showing the arrow pass through the animals.
The hunting next moves to Kansas where the hunter kills a tall, beautiful buck. Another good whitetail is killed in Illinois with a lousy bow shot, but it gets the job done. Tim misses another great whitetail over the back, and showcases a string of missed shots with some great humor.
This hunting video continues with tons of huge whitetail, more monster spot and stalk mule deer, one of the largest muleys ever shot with a bow on video, and the footage goes on and on with non-stop hunting. It is well worth the price and you will see shots never caught on a hunting video. Don’t miss it!
